24 Character Countdown (Episode 4)

by Staff Writer

Tom Lennox (70)
-Didn’t want to pardon Assad (-4)
-Actually blew Sandra off. It was one of the best scenes yet (+20)
-Came up with a reasonable story to tell to the American people about why they were pardoning a known terrorist (+5)

Net Gain/Loss: +21
Current Total: 91

President Wayne Palmer (28)
-Somewhat redeemed himself from last episode, after he told Jack to take charge of the hunt for Fayed (+10)
-But, didn’t realize that we all knew Jack was in charge as soon as he got off that plane (-9)
-Gave Assad a pardon (+4)
-Mentioning the fact that he values Tom’s loyalty (-9)

Net Gain/Loss: -4
Current Total: 24

Bill Buchanan
(115)
-Regurgitated the information we already knew about Namir in a way that drove me insane (-7)
-Told everyone at CTU that they have to do better. They can’t let terrorists escape in broad daylight (+10)
-Didn’t have the guts to say to everyone that this is all actually the President’s fault (-11)

Net Gain/Loss: -8
Current Total: 107

Nadia Yassir (127)
-Showed off her Arabic speaking talents to let us all know that there are still four more nukes out there (+6)

Net Gain/Loss: +6
Current Total: 133

Jack Bauer (252)
-Didn’t feel up to the task of being the natural born leader he is (-5)
-Accepted it anway (+6)
-Killed Curtis in order to protect Assad (+10)
-Showed to every man on the face of the planet that it’s alright to cry, even after shooting a close friend (+15)

Net Gain/Loss
: +26
Current Total: 278

Chloe O’Brian (135)
-Went to a few movies with Milo (-5)
-Chose Morris (-10)
-Put both Milo and Morris in their places and for the sake of all of us possibly made it so we don’t have to hear their incessant whining anymore (+18)

Net Gain/Loss: +3
Current Total: 138

Morris O’Brian (91)
-Lied to Milo (-5)
-Seemingly does nothing at CTU other than piss people off (-4)

Net Gain/Loss: -9
Current Total: 82

LEADERBOARD:
Jack Bauer—278
Chloe O’Brian—135
Nadia Yassir—133
Bill Buchanan—115
Karen Hayes—90
Morris O’Brian—82
Tom Lennox—70
President Wayne Palmer—24

Special Premiere Awards:

Honorable Mention of -500 goes to Scott’s Dad for actually delivering the nuclear bomb part to the terrorists.

Honorable Mention of +45 goes to Scott’s Mom who, surprisingly against all 24 rules and regulations, called the police when a terrorist told her not to.

-100 points goes to Sandra Palmer (who will be added to the Countdown next week and will start at 0 because of me taking 100 points away from her right now) for reminding me of Sherry Palmer, the most evil woman to ever walk this planet.

The Little School Girls Award goes to Milo and Morris for their nauseating bickering over…wait…whaaaa…they were fighting over Chloe? In light of this new information they also both win a pair of prescription glasses.

Most Helpful Terrorist, goes to that fun-loving guy Assad. If it hadn’t been mentioned 500 times that he’s killed thousands of innocent people, he would’ve seemed like a guy I’d like to go to lunch with. (He will also be added to the Countdown next week).

Most Disappointing Countdown Performance goes to President Wayne Palmer for reminding us that, sure President Logan was a traitor, but he was no Wayne Palmer that’s for sure.

Sandra does remind me of Sherry — which was the worst character ever on 24, man I was glad when she was finally killed. Perhaps that Wayne will get a nice big +100 for killing Sandra like he did Sherry. One can only hope.

  2. Sammy Says:

“Showed to every man on the face of the planet that it’s alright to cry AND BARF, even after shooting a close friend”

oh get out of my head about morris- he and milo are there to cause angst and strife and to occasionally pull chloe’s chair out for her. i love how CTU has always been more than a little slap-and-tickle

  5. Bud007 Says:

Hmm that looks like fun. I pretty much agree on the +/-. It reminds me how they evaluate NHL players lol. But yeah. Nadia is cute.
