Burger King’s Inappropriate Commercial
Burger King has now found a new low, instead of just sticking with food as their topic they’ve resorted to selling sex. Sex as in the “Morning Tongue,” okay we all know what they are talking about and how the heck do you tell your 10-year-old boy that they aren’t talking about something else. Or imagine your 7-year-old daughter asking why she doesn’t get a morning tongue like the commercial shows. What’s your thought on this? Has Burger King gone too far?
Honestly, I’ve seen Burger King commericials that have made me hungry, but after watching their “Morning Tongue” I’ve become sick. Sick with their gross view point of hunger. Sick with the thought of this commericial.
Why don’t they just come out and say everyone gets a stiff one before going out to eat. Not only does this guy wake up with a “Stiff” tongue as he gets out of bed but they show him showering, getting dressed, walking around with a “hard one” until he gets the relief he needs. It’s sick and it isn’t just adults catching this show…it’s KIDS! At what point did food companies decide it was time to use sex to sell their food.
“Morning tongue, nothing to be embarrassed about
Just your body building up excitement overnight….
“Satisfy yourself with cheesy tots.
To Burger King: I’m sorry but after this new stunt, my family will no longer eat at your establishment. I hope no one else will either.
Burger King, Morning Tongue, commericial, inapropriate commericial, sex

That is just wrong. And disgusting. Burger King needs a new ad agency.

You have got to be kidding. This needs to be on the national news so it can be stopped by more people boycotting them.

What the hell? I think you guys have overreacted just a touch. I think this is a brilliant advert.
Adults will realise what’s being alluded to, while kids won’t have a clue. So where’s the harm?
You’re acting as if they show a guy with an erection eating a Burger King… it’s his tongue!!!
There’s worse things in the world to get upset over.

I don’t know, I think it’s funny. Morning wood to morning tongue, come on, that’s comedy. That commercial isn’t as bad as MOST of the cartoons that children are allowed to watch.
Morning tongue…………so funny!

I have to disagree too, I think that’s highly amusing and, like some of the more recent animated films, adults will get the subtext and kids will find the ridiculousness funny without questioning why.
Morning tongue… genius.

Some like it cheesy, some like it not. Whichever side of the fence the audience is, this controversial ad got what it wants: attention.

Yes, we all know what they’re referring to. Geez. I’m not which is worse, this commercial or the one of Paris Hilton washing the car for Hardee’s.

Is there a specific time frame that this commercial is seen?
As aren’t some commercials that are deemed offensive or what not left for prime time and/or certain channels only?

BK has sunk to a new low of desperation. As their competition pushes ahead of them, BK’s commercials have been getting progressively more inappropriate recently and this is over the top. I am not disputing the humor or creativity here nor am I an old prude but somehow this just pushed what few boundaries we have left on TV. You can’t assume that the kids won’t “get it”. And what if they ask? How can a parent explain it to them? Why should a parent even be put in that position by a family-style fast food restaurant? How low class and low life. There are better ways to advertise. I have yet to see such any kind of salacious advertising from Wendy’s or McDonalds. I will no longer patronize Burger King.

And how about the newest one? It shows a futuristic man being given a BK breakfast and then a female walks in and says “He’s so good with his hands” while looking down toward the genital area of the robot and smiling a little smile.
What is with their preoccupation with sex? They definitely need a new ad agency!
