Wednesday Night Shows

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

What’s on television tonight? Well, I’m sure we won’t have a recap of "American Idols’ Big Blunder," but there is plenty of shows to watch that’ll keep you entertained.

A new show called, "Farmer Wants a Wife" comes on tonight and it sounds somewhat interesting. It’s another reality show where you guessed it, a farmer gets to pick his wife. Only catch is he doesn’t seem to be wanting a farm girl, not when his ten hot beauties all happen to be from the city. Granted, I can see how funny this can get. I can’t wait to watch them muck the stalls or feed the pigs, or worse milk a cow. hehe. The first challenge of the night will be them trying to catch a chicken. I normally don’t watch these reality dating shows but I think I’ll watch this one tonight.

9p.m./ET on CW

Ugly Betty- It’s the first of the post-writers strike and Henry’s girlfriend (ex) shows up and makes things very uncomfortable between Henry and Betty. Can ya really blame her? Plus, Betty will turn 24 tonight, so this should be good. But I doubt her surprise is.

Wednesday Night Shows

supernanny_228x314.jpgI think I slept through last night without watching any television shows. Well here is my pick for tonight, course I won’t be able to watch all of them so maybe some of you can and come back here to give your reviews. 6/7C ABC channel.

Top Chef- Guest Cheft Rick Bayless will get to help host the events and everything takes place at a neighborhood block party.

The Moment of Truth- It’s all about the truth, the deep, dark secrets that will tear a family apart. However this seems to be the thing everyone wants to see. 8/7C on Fox

Wife Swap- Gillete and Turners will switch families just for a little while though. One family are carnies while the other is more of a richie type. ABC

SuperNanny- What do you get when you have a wild bunch of kids and toss in a dad that is just the same? The Weinstein family meets with Jo tonight and it’s sure to be an event no one will want to miss.

Movies tonight: Parent Trap with Dennis Quiad or Three Men and a Baby with Tom Selleck on Family and Tom on TVL at 7p.m. Central Time

Britney Spears on How I Met Your Mother

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

e032202a.jpg

Everyone laughed and cheered when they saw the comical secretary on “How I Met Your Mother” last night and why not, she was funny. In “How I Met Your Mother” Britney Spears plays Abby, a smitten secretary, that is in love with Ted, problem is he only has eyes for her boss. Does this mean we might be seeing more of the ever-so-calm Britney Spears more often?

Wildfire Recap

Wildfire

Last week on Wildfire, Jr ditched his bride at the alter of course some how it’ll come down to being Chris’ fault. But before he called it off he had to go save Chris and Wildfire when Wildfire escaped the ranch.

Chris starts the show off by riding Wildfire against Flame and of course the two really put on a show. Pablo of course is angry and storms away, letting Chris see how he feels towards her. Keep in mind he was the one that originally brought her to the ranch and she hurt him bad. It’ll take a long while for him to let him back into his good graces again.

Oprah’s Fairytale Show

Oprah’s Big Give

I’m not an Oprah Winfrey fan, but I must admit this Sunday’s episode has me interested. Oprah is planning on giving out wads of cash and one lucky winner will get $1 Million. The segment is actually called, “Oprah’s Big Give,” each participant is given a cause or a person. Those groups must get money for a certain cause, one might be someone needing a new house, another might be a school in need of something. In total there are like ten people, from there I’m guessing she’ll take them out one by one and eventually be down to only a two people.

Scrubs in Tug-of-war

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

Two companies are currently fighting over who will get Scrubs. ABC and NBC will fight tooth and nail to get this award winning tv show, which is understandable since it draws in thousands of viewers a week. NBC had been airing it but earlier this week it was announced that ABC is trying to negotiate 18 episodes with them. Could a breath of fresh air add more viewers, or would it lose the fans it currently has?

Naked Brothers on The View

The View

Today I HAD to watch “The View” and not because I felt like it either. First, as I’m flipping through my 11 month old son hears some catchy tunes and starts dancing away. The band is The Laurie Berkner Band and apparently before this Emily Osment from Hannah Montana (Hannah’s BFF) was on. I just knew I couldn’t change it, and just maybe I could get a new CD for him. Once the singers got off the stage it is announced that the Naked Brothers Band will be up next on The View. Which means my two oldest, that are home from school (President’s Day) heard.

As for the gift that Emily gave everyone in the audience, they got the Hannah Montana (one in a million) CD, the DS game and the Boxed set of Hannah Montana books. This is something my 7 year old would’ve flipped for. Laurie gave everyone a bag of her music, with I could have one for my little man.

WildFire: Chris’ Return

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

Wildfire

Porkchop falls on top of the vet, Noah, and he screams out in pain when Chris is deciding to leave and Danny is trying to convince her to stay. Chris tells Noah that they need to help him and he’s suppose to be off his feet for 6 weeks. He explains that he needs an assistant. Danny decides that that’ll be Chris and Chris agrees that it’ll be just until tomorrow. In the meantime Chris is actually doing vet duties, listening to the heartbeat of a horse, when Pablo walks in. After her talk with him she is ready to go as she doesn’t want to be in a place where she is not wanting, especially those that she hurt. Whether she admits it or not she still loves that family and never wants to hurt them in any way ever again.

KyleXY

Monday, February 4th, 2008

Amanda has showed back up in town and since she’s been banned from seeing Kyle she has decided to run away and stay inside his bedroom, with the bathtub. He comes back to his room and tells her that he thinks she should go face her mom. She goes to sneak out his bedroom window but instead Kyle’s dad blocks the bath by stating that he is grounded and to leave the window shut. When they go to head to another window he’s blocked by him once again.

Amanda is spotted by Kyle’s sister and she tries helping her hide as well. Suddenly CPS shows up at the front door and it is all about Kyle. Carol Blue has complained about Kyle and CPS must look around the house and ask questions about Kyle. While they are talking Amanda is hidden in a closet and overhears them talking. Kyle’s mom is telling him, “Be careful, this woman can’t find out who you really are.” You can see Amanda is curious. This can only mean trouble for him.

The CPS lady wants to see the documents stating that Kyle is under their care. She is not happy that Kyle was found, taken put in care and then went straight home to her house and she was the one caring for him.

Halloween with the Walker Sisters

- Kevin finds out that Saul is gay and wants him to come clean.
- Rebeccas is worried about the way Justin is recovering.
- Tommy has discovered life can be fun, but does it have to mean he has to cheat on his wife?

Pushing Daisies Catch Up

Pushing Daisies

Can ya picture it, with just one touch of your finger you can instantly bring someone back from the dead? Who would you want to bring back? I can think of a few people, but I wonder if this power wouldn’t get to one’s head. Well just like any flower, including a little Daisy, it needs room to grow and sure enough that is what ABC is doing. ABC just added another year for this show, so to all you fans out there at least ya know it won’t be going away any time soon.

Since I haven’t done any recaps here is a very quick catch up. Ned knew at a young age that his touch could kill and/or bring someone back to life. Now 19 years later his big secret has been caught and he’s now teaming up with an investigator. Together the two of them will solve murders around town.

Samantha Who Recap

Samantha Who with Parents

In Samantha Who?, Samantha wakes up not knowing anyone, the one person she believes is her best friend, Dena (played by Melissa McCarthy) she later finds out hasn’t been since the 7th grade. Her parents aren’t only annoying but are trying absolutely everything to MAKE her remember. Once Samantha leaves the hospital she sees the type of person she really was and decides she may just want to change, after all she’s been given a second chance. In just the first few minutes her mother is trying to catch her up on her entire life, instead of trying to refresh her memory her mother is shouting at her as if she were deaf. It’s really crazy. Her father of course is just kind of out there, just reminding mom that their daughter can her just can’t remember anything.
