Wednesday Night Shows

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

What’s on television tonight? Well, I’m sure we won’t have a recap of "American Idols’ Big Blunder," but there is plenty of shows to watch that’ll keep you entertained.

A new show called, "Farmer Wants a Wife" comes on tonight and it sounds somewhat interesting. It’s another reality show where you guessed it, a farmer gets to pick his wife. Only catch is he doesn’t seem to be wanting a farm girl, not when his ten hot beauties all happen to be from the city. Granted, I can see how funny this can get. I can’t wait to watch them muck the stalls or feed the pigs, or worse milk a cow. hehe. The first challenge of the night will be them trying to catch a chicken. I normally don’t watch these reality dating shows but I think I’ll watch this one tonight.

9p.m./ET on CW

elistone.jpg

Looking for something to watch tonight but no clue what’s on? Her’s a list of some popular shows that’ll be on tonight with a brief description on what’s going to happen.

Eli Stone- This will be the season finale and if there isn’t enough love the show won’t be returning for another season. Will you be watching? Eli will decide to get that brain aneurysm removed, but will he make it through the surgery? If he does will he be the same Eli as before the surgery?

Survivor- Eliza was upset last week when everyone else was pairing up and she was cast out. Who will go this week?

For some old time favorites, but some have new episodes:

Smallville- Lex does something that’ll make him and Clark mortal enemies forever. My goodness, weren’t they already enemies? Or were they just frenemies? (friends that pretended to be enemies)

CSI- Today we’ll watch heads roll around in this October episode of a couple of kids playing around on go-karts, but one had a horrible ending. Sara and Grissom’s affair comes into play in this episode. Find out what happens.

Without a Trace- A long list and some how they must figure out where the missing P.I. is and who did it.

What’s On TV?

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

American IdolOkay, you’ve lost your tv guide or just don’t feel like surfing the channels tonight. Right? That’s okay, I’ve felt like that about every Wednesday. Hmmm, maybe I should post a “What’s On TV?” every Wednesday.

Wednesday during the day, of course you’ve got your basics: Tv talk shows, cartoons and of course soaps. I normally fall in the last two, but there are times when I want something more. That’s when I hope on over to see what’s on Lifetime or some other drama channel. Here is a list of shows during the day.

Talk shows such as The View which begin around 11 a.m. Central will have Johnny Lee Miller joining them today. My daughter’s favorite cook, Rachael Ray is on at 9 a.m. where she’ll be dealing with flowers, cooking a chicken and talking with Diane Lane.

Want to watch something tonight with the family? Here’s a quick list, hope it helps.

The Emperor’s New Groove - 8 pm EST Disney
Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life - 7 p.m. Central AMC
Holes - 7 pm Central FAM
A Few Good Men - 7 pm Central TNT

While I’m sure many have some fond memories of watching the above shows you could always tune in and watch American Idol or the new, “The Moment of Truth.” For those Courtroom dramas you’ll be tuning in at 8 p.m. Central to watch Criminal minds followed by CSI:NY. If you are into the reality shows you can watch Wife swap at 7 p.m. Central time and follow that up with Lost. I hear Lost is suppose to be a good one. Who are you rooting for?

No More Emeril

Emeril Live

In case ya haven’t heard “Emeril Live” will be leaving the air waves soon. But it is true the Food Network is planning on pulling the plug on the guy just weeks before Christmas. December 11, is the actual date of the last showing. Emeril Live has actually ran for over ten years now and has made some great recipes in the meantime. It’ll be sad to watch this show go, but maybe they’ll have something else for us. In the meantime there will be chefs like Rachel Ray and many others. Don’t think that just because the show will no longer be with the network that Emeril won’t, he plans on showing up on other shows.

Why? Why is Emeril Live ending? Were they afraid that this man would encourage Americans to fill up on food, increasing their bustsizes? Or was it because he got too popular? As soon as America caught wind of the now famous chef, Emeril Lagasse news spread like wildfire. Everyone wanted in on the “BAM!” Recipes tasted better than before, he was interesting and added pizzaz to the channel. But now they no longer want him. What will become of him? My guess is he could make his own channel and probably keep the same audience he has now, or maybe make a few products and write more books.

No one knows exactly why the Food Network is putting out his fire. Who knows maybe they are all in agreement and there is something bigger for us.

Halloween

If you are anything like me you are probably wondering what spooky Halloween shows are playing tonight. Am I right?

Poltergeist (ABCFamily) - This was a movie that made me never eat meat, at least until I got married. I’m sorry after seeing all those maggots come out of that man’s steak I couldn’t touch the stuff again. Steve and Diane have finally found the perfect place to live, house, neighborhood, family and all but they soon find out it isn’t as happy as they thought.

Halloween with the Walker Sisters

(States of the Union)
- Mother and daughters have a spa day, but end up getting booted out because they are too loud. They head over to a wedding reception to eat cake, and no they don’t know the couple that got married. I’ve always hated this type of thing.

- Kitty sees a prenup and gets very upset over it.
- Kevin finds out that Saul is gay and wants him to come clean.
- Rebeccas is worried about the way Justin is recovering.
- Tommy has discovered life can be fun, but does it have to mean he has to cheat on his wife?

DOOL Spoilers: October 29-November 2

Monday, October 29th, 2007

Last week was a very busy week for Days of Our Lives fans, with the recent death of our beloved John Black and everyone still being very raw with emotions. Suddenly Sami goes into labor and it is a race to see who will get to her first, EJ or Lucas. Lucas of course wins and EJ and Kate show up together after the babies are born.

John Roman Roberts is the name picked for the boy twin, I’m not sure about the girl one yet. Something is telling me it’ll be Colleen. What do you think?

Phillip gave Belle a ride back home, unfortuneatly in more ways than one. Just think while Shawn is downstairs talking with mom his wife is right above him, in their own room, messing up the sheets with Phillip. Hope knows though and lets Belle know that she knows and isn’t okay with it.

Kid Nation: The Bonanza Dump & Beauty Queens

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

Tonight should prove to be yet another screaming-fighting-whining Kid Nation show again. But this time the town is ganging up on the poor beauty Queens Taylor, ex-council member, and Layla, her best friend. Why? Oh that’s simple they don’t believe they should pick up trash, even though they help make it.

Zach on Kid Nation

Will it be “Deal with It” or “Viva la Revolucion!”?

Just in case ya’ll may have missed last week’s episode, like myself, they do have the entire thing over at YouTube. I just spent the last half hour finding all of them and watching them. Even the hubby joined in and took a peek, he too wanted to see who got to stay and who got voted off the council. He doesn’t like Mike or Taylor.

This one starts off with them reading from that book and deciding that they should let the town vote for who they think should be in town council. I think this nerved Taylor as she knows she has her own issues and many of the town members don’t like it.

After reading many reviews online and reading my comments on this blog I can see there are many opinions. So spill it!

DOOL: Spoilers for October 22-26

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

DOOL

Wow, what was everyone’s take on last week’s show? Such a very sad funeral, but there were a few moments I liked in it. For starters when Lucas gets to punch EJ for even showing up. Next up, Sami’s promise to a dead John that his death will not go unnoticed. Come one we all know she’ll do something. I am really starting to think she’ll go through with a wedding to a Dimera, but not to protect her family anymore….now it is for revenge. I see her getting in there and killing them all off somehow or at the very least finding out all their secrets.

Army Wives Spoilers or Not?

Army Wives season 2

While Army Wives isn’t coming back until 2008, I thought we’d touch up on it a bit and have our own thoughts. I’ve received plenty of emails asking if I knew anything about Army Wives Season 2, so let’s have at it.

Review:
- When we left off Amanda had actually ditched Jeremy.
- Joan was pregnant
- There was a bomb explosion
- From the looks of things Amanda was actually with the bomber.
- Chase disappears.
