This week on Days of Our Lives, it’s going to be not only a tear jerker but a lot of huge moments for Days of Our Lives fans. First up it looks like Marlena and Belle are still trying to keep John with them. John is rushed to the hospital this week and it is a tearful one for John and Marlena fans as we all say good bye to John. Yes, this week John will pass away at the hospital and have a Hero’s funeral.
This week on Kidnation, I was actually shocked to see that when it came down to picking a prize in the latest contest the council went with bible stories instead of the miniature golfing. I’m waiting for the uproar on this one.
Throughout the show you watch as everyone strives to help the community, everyone except one person. That’s right, once again Taylor is doing nothing more than be a spoiled princess and as far as I know this isn’t a beauty pageant. While she may be a young one but I’ve seen others younger than she is working harder…heck, just working period. I loved it when the little boy was able to grab up everyone and have them help with washing the dishes, of course this shouldn’t have been his responsiblility. Course I would’ve loved to see someone dump her in the dirty water.
Many of you Passions fans out there may still be a little sad as the passing of Passions. Well, okay they didn’t end the show, but they moved it to DirecTV and many of us can’t watch now. Wondering about any favorite actors/actresses out there?
Well here’s the scoop on our lovely and pregnant Jessica.
First, NBC has decided to try their hand at making an ONLINE soap opera. Yes, online, not sure how that works, I guess we download the videos. Anyone know? The new soap opera is called, Coastal Dreams and Jessica has moved over there. Granted her name isn’t Jessica on this show, it is Zoe and she died her hair for the part. Honestly I think I like her with the blonde hair. Oh and I just learned Danica’s (Jessica) real hair color is blonde. What do you think? Voice your opinions below.
Sheridan is also here, well the stand-in for Sheridan (you remember the whole, Sheridan is played by…) and her name on the show is April. Seeing a pattern here? I wonder if all those that were killed off or forgotten about will appear on this new soap. I think I’d be watching that if it is the case.
Okay, the basic story line so far, as I really haven’t started watching it YET: Zoe is your girl-next-door type and of course has a stalker boyfriend, so she quickly scoops up everything and moves in with her cousin, April, down in California. Man, she even has a bad boyfriend in this show, poor Danica. Now Zoe must make a life for herself and keep out of sight from her boyfriend, course she’s a jewelry designer to top it off and I’m sure somehow he’ll be able to find her through that.
How many of you have actually caught some of these issues? What’s your take on Coastal Dreams? New episodes on every Tuesday and Thursday, currently there are four episodes you can view.

She’s the new character on Smallville and she’s smoking hot. Move over Lois, you’ve got competition coming to town….or does she? While she may be sizzling hot, she’s definitely not for Clark’s taking. Not unless they allow relations to date on the show. That’s right, this new hottie is Clark’s long-lost cousin. Boy can she put up a fight too, in the very first episode she’s fighting Clark, but he catches on quickly and is able to outmanuever her.
He quickly learns about his past and how she use to watch over him as a baby. It’s amazing how little she’s changed from the past though. It seems she was trapped between time, frozen and never aged, whereas Clark has grown up to be the same age as she is now. If they weren’t cousins, I’d say this was the perfect match. What other woman is he going to find with super powers like his?
Quickly she tries to show him that she really is his blood and absorbs the blow up of her own ship to save his world. Course, now what will she do with no ship? She’s stuck on Earth to try to figure it all out. However, with Clark nearby she shouldn’t have many issues….or maybe she will.
My question is…who will she hook up with? You know every good girl must date a bad boy first. Lex Luther perhaps? I know he’s pinning for Lana, but she may be just as easy on the eye and she’ll have a connection to Clark. Question is will she be able to lie low as Clark suggests or will she wander? Will you be watching Smallville tonight?

Days of Our Lives has a lot going on this week. First up, Lauren will fall down a flight of stairs because Phillip is hot on her tail. However, instead of keeping quiet she knows she’ll die and ends up telling him his son is actually in the hospital. Belle realizes that the kid in question is actually Pocket.
Pocket, as you may recall is the little baby boy that Steve and Kayla have been taking care of. Only problem is he keeps ending up in the hospital and this time they can’t get him back. To make matters worse Phillip figures out this might be his son and brings social services in. Adding more fuel to the fire, it is the same social worker that Steve has already dealt with and it isn’t looking good for Pocket.
Sammy must make a tough decision this week, choose to marry EJ and divorce Lucas or stay with Lucas and danger her family. Just when you think she’s made up her mind and says Good bye to Lucas, EJ opens his mouth and says that Will could be in danger. Never mess with Sami buddy, now you’ve done wrong. Sami rips up his papers and says see ya. I really hope Lucas gets to slug him for this, a nice black eye would go good with him don’t ya think?
Instead EJ plans on hurting someone else, only it doesn’t happen and gets someone else instead. For all you John and Marlena fans, this is the one you WON’T want to see as John will get hit by a car.
What do you hope happens on Days of Our Lives?
Okay, we are going to try to play KidNation catch up from where I left off. As ya’ll may remember the first episode was nothing more than fighting and crying. The second one was just plain controversial with the whole chopping off a chicken’s head. I knew the moment they did that it would be huge on the internet. Sure enough, by the next day the bloggers were all discussing it. Wondering if the pet companies got wind of it or the vegetarians. Either way this was one issue you better hoped your young kids weren’t in the room for.
The kids were left (as usual) to find for themselves and instead of eating noodles again, some suggested killing the chickens. One girl in particular was not okay with this idea. At one point she even tried locking herself in with the birds, but it didn’t last long.
Who chopped off the chicken’s head? Greg (teen boy) was the only one that had the guts, let alone the experience. Even though he was not with the cooking team he volunteered to help with it all. Help he did too, he took charge of this one. Taking the bird, placing it on the blocker and chopping off the head. Next up, the water and then plucking it. After all this you’d think he would get the Gold Star but nope, someone else got it.
Why? Hmmm, because the little boy, Mike, has it in for this teen because of their first day. You remember the day Greg tried helping him and offering a bit more plan then the little one had. If this little guy has his way Greg will never get it, no matter how hard he tries.
The winner of the Gold Star was Michael, which he did do a good job, but I thought Greg deserved it. Michael figured out how to unfreeze their water pipes. Now it is freezing over there and they had a WATER game? Come on people, just because this is KIDNATION, doesn’t mean you don’t use brains. These kids are bound to get sick.
Okay that was the first one, second one I didn’t stay up through. Sorry dear readers. I was told there was a bar scene where the kids pretended to be drinking. I did hear Mallory got the gold star, not sure why but I read it was her birthday. Man, I hope they didn’t go by that.
Will you be watching tonight? It’s suppose to be a good one dealing with religion and politics.
Did any of you catch Smallville last night? If you did then you got to meet the new “SuperGirl.” What’s your take on her? Is she a friend of Clark’s or his enemy? I’m not quite sure yet, I mean she doesn’t want to harm anyone by the sounds of it and she even saved the world. Yes, this could just be a ploy to distract “Smallville” but until we see more of her we won’t know.
That’s right if you’ve been watching you’ll know about a mysterious figure that came from the steel trap laying in the field in Smallville. This person ends up being a “SuperGirl” and boy is she HOT. If Kara wasn’t Clark’s cousin I’d say they’d be a fun pair watch hook up, but she is and that would just be wrong. Kara is in search for a little boy she last knew as Kal-El, which as many of you know is …. Clark. Imagine her surprise as she learns she was in that tiny ship for over 18 years and that she no longer has a planet to go back to.
KidNation is made up of 40 Kids trying to make a town work within 40 days. Can they do it? What are your questions.
Q. What channel is KidNation on?
A. CBS
Q. What was the KidNation curriculum?
A. I don’t really know what you mean here, but my guess is they were all being unschooled at the time or they caught up once they got back home. Anyone know the answer to this?
Q. What were the Kidnation first night ratings?
A. It seems that KidNation faired pretty well with all that negative publicity. Apparently they tied with Fox’s Back to You and Kitchen Nightmares. I wonder how they’ll fair tonight. Ages that watched were between 18-49, course there was a younger audience that watched with many of those that are older too.
Q. I didn’t get to watch the first one. Did anyone leave the show?
A. Yes, at first it looked like two would but one decided she’d stick it out while the 8 year old boy, Jimmy decided to go home. I applaud little Jimmy, it took a lot of guts to go from one side of the US to the other without his parents.
Q. What is the name of the Kidnation host?
A. The host of Kidnation is Jonathan Karsh.
Q. How many of you will tune in tonight at 8 p.m. to watch KidNation?
A. I know I have a son that is begging to watch it. I’ll update tomorrow on tonight’s episode.

The much publicized KidNation aired on Wednesday, September 19 this past week. How many of you tuned in? Yes, I know even those that were against this tv show could’ve tuned in. Sometimes you just have to see how something really is to make your judgement.
The show starts off by them arriving by bus to a deserted town in the middle of the desert, it’s hot and the kids are complaining about the heat. We instantly meet the four selected (VIP kids) as they are flown by helicopter to the area the kids on the bus are being dropped off at. These four children are between 10-12 and get to lead everyone else, including some 15 year olds. Their first obstacle is to push these wheel barrows back to camp, inside these carts are everything they’ll need for the next 40 days. Yes, that’s a lot of stuff for these kids to push. There are four of these and all the kids are split up in four different teams and must get these back to camp without any help from the adults.
Yes, I tuned in as did my husband and 10 year old son. My husband did seem a little hooked but left before it was over, his response was they weren’t really alone and it was like camp. My son responded by telling me, “Mom, why didn’t you sign me up?”
It’s a bit scary though as you watch some of the children trying to make meals for 40 other children. I have a hard time making dinner for five sometimes, I can’t even picture 40. Tensions run high as it the first time away from home for a few, two of which are already homesick. Arguments erupt, teams are given colored shirts and on the first night vandalism occurs.
Like all reality shows lately, KidNation had the kids do a challenge for their places in towns. (ie jobs) They were even told that at the end of the challenge if they did it in a certain amount of time they’d get to pick one of two huge prizes. One thing the hubby pointed out was at the end of the challenge, why didn’t the other teams try helping the last one? They were never told they couldn’t and as a town you want everyone to succeed.
Myself, I’m really not sure yet, I didn’t like the idea that these kids had to push these wheelbarrows that should’ve been dragged by mule or something other than children. I did like that the kids got to earn things but the low rages were horrible, but since the prices of the items weren’t I can understand. This would also be a neat thing to teach your child and many do this but with higher allowances.
Will I be tuning in again? Yes, at least once more to see how the next one goes. As of right now I don’t like it, but that’s only because I deal with the crying and fighting on a daily basis. It may not be a show adults will enjoy but it does seem to appeal to the younger generation, only problem is the time it airs.
