Character Countdown (Episode 3)

by Staff Writer

Sorry this one is a bit short. Like I said in my review this episode was pretty much all leading up to the fourth one. So, most of the episode was Assad in the car with the other terrorist.

Tom Lennox (53)
-Despite all his shortcomings he didn’t want to give into Fayed. Way to go Tom you’re really moving up in the Countdown (+17)

Net Gain/Loss: +17
Current Total: 70

President Wayne Palmer (69)
-Didn’t tell Fayed where to shove his demands (-7)
-Actually, for some insane reason loaded a bunch of terrorist prisoners on buses to fly them out of the country for Fayed (-15)
-Because of his decision the World’s Largest Lower Lipped Nuclear Terrorist is now on the loose (-19)

Net Gain/Loss: -41
Current Total: 28 (OUCH!)

Karen Hayes (80)
-Also, didn’t think it wise to give into Fayed’s demands (+10)

Net Gain/Loss: +10
Current Total: 90

Bill Buchanan (108)
-Stopped the prisoner release before the plane took off (+7)

Net Gain/Loss: +7
Current Total: 115

Nadia Yassir (122)
-Oh Nadia, what do we say about you? Sure you’re good looking, but that can only get you so far in the Character Countdown. What can we give you points for? Umm…let’s see…uhhh…how about she can speak Arabic (+5)

Net Gain/Loss: +5
Current Total: 127

Jack Bauer (241)
-Threw a civilian to the ground (-5)
-Told the man “Don’t get up.? Which if Jack Bauer said to me I’d probably piddle in my pants (+7)
-Stole the man’s Jeep(-4)
-To catch up with a Terrorist (+5)
-Drove a Jeep like a madman, without rolling it mind you, all after being in a Chinese prison camp for the past 20 months. Where does he get off saying that he doesn’t know how to do this anymore (+10)
-Staged a “traffic incident? in order to get the terrorist to ride with Assad (+7)
-Acted like a total racist (+1)
-Said, “Screw you,? with all the Jack Bauer demeanor he could muster (+5)
-Actually brushed off Curtis saying “We’ll see,? when talking about Assad and not being able to do anything to him. Come on, we all saw that one coming right? How did Jack not pick up on that? (-15)

Net Gain/Loss: +11
Current Total: 252

Chloe O’Brian (118)
-In the funniest scene of the season she put Milo and Morris in their place (+17)

Net Gain/Loss: +17
Current Total: 135

Totals:
Tom Lennox —70
President Wayne Palmer — 28
Karen Hayes —90
Bill Buchanan —115
Nadia Yassir —127
Jack Bauer —252
Chloe O’Brian —135
Morris O’Brian —91
Milo — 93

In a surprise turn of events Tom Lennox and Chloe O’Brian share the “Big Winner? of the episode. While President Wayne loses big time with a –41.

Just a note to all those that like this feature: I’m still working out the bugs and it’s been a busy couple of days with this whole 4 hour premiere insaneness that FOX does, so I promise that in a couple of weeks I’ll have everything in order. Sorry, if I haven’t included some of the characters you’d like. I’ve tried to do all the MAIN people that I think will be around for a while.

If you have any suggestions on how to make this better feel free to say so in the comments. I for one love doing it, but always am open to suggestions.

Also, stay tuned for Episode 4 Character Countdown coming soon…Like tonight.

When you list the totals at the end, you should do it like a leader board, so instead of just being in order you’d have them listed most points to least.

  2. Aaron Says:

    Good idea.
    Thanks Mike.

  4. Joey Says:

I sense a lot of stuff happening with Morris in the near future. I submit that he should get his own countdown. Sandra could have a lot of up and downs too. Assad almost demands his own spot. Loses tons of points for being a terrorist, gains a lot back by helping Bauer. He could be the big gainer or loser any given week.
I know you’re feeling pretty hurried here in the first couple of days, but starting today you’ll have long periods of time to update the site between episodes.

  5. Aaron Says:

    Joey,
Yeah thanks. I’ve just been figuring out how to do this effectively. Because we still know that Ricky Schroder will appear at sometime and so will Rob Lowe. But, you’re right, the longer periods of time will help me.

    Thanks for being patient.

    Aaron.
