Is Hannah Montana Doomed?

I’m sure by now you’ve seen or heard of the many photos of Miley Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana lately. Am I right? If you haven’t here’s a description, Miley Cyrus showing her green bra, poses in pictures with a boy and she is wearing only underwear and a bra, but his hand rests on her underwear. Miley lifting up her shirt, kissing the boy, etc. But this weekend was the big one, Vanity Fair has announced they have a new shot of the Disney Girl and the shot makes her look like she’s only wearing a sheet and no clothes on.

In an article by People.com it states Miley was asked to take off her top after her parents left the shooting. Ummm, how wrong is this? Miley, aka Hannah Montana, is ONLY 15-years-old. Yes, many think she looks older but Annie Leibovitz would’ve known her age. Annie knew better. Everyone is claiming the pictures are artistic and they were meant to be that way. Myself, I think this borders on the line of child pornography. What’s your take on it?

Miley has came forward and made a statement:

“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”

Whether she knew how the photos would make her look or not, this isn’t entirely her fault. I’m sure she felt all grown up taking shots like this or like she was playing dress up. While she is definitely learning a hard lesson on becoming an adult and how your actions speak louder than words. I don’t see anyone taking action against Annie. This was a woman that knew Miley was famous, knew having controversial photos would draw sales and knew of her age. But still she took the photos, in a way taking advantage of a young girl that didn’t know.

Disney has come forward to make a statement as well, “Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.”

I’m sure ya’ll are wondering what I was, Where were her parents. According to all reports, her parents were at the shoot for a while and saw some wonderful shots. (not sure which those were) They left the shoot but left her in the care of her grammy and teacher. That’s when Annie jumped at the chance to expose the girl, Miley was asked to take off her bare colored top and wrap up more in the sheet. THIS IS CHILD PORN. I don’t care how you package it. Am I right? But the question remains will anything happen? Yes, I know many are saying “Ban Hannah Monanta, Ban Miley Cyrus!” But what about Annie? Yes, I know Miley has been in some really racy photos lately but I do believe there is a line an adult should never cross and Annie stepped over it.
