Kidation Election Recap

by Eliza Ferree

Zach on Kid Nation

Will it be “Deal with It” or “Viva la Revolucion!”?

Just in case ya’ll may have missed last week’s episode, like myself, they do have the entire thing over at YouTube. I just spent the last half hour finding all of them and watching them. Even the hubby joined in and took a peek, he too wanted to see who got to stay and who got voted off the council. He doesn’t like Mike or Taylor.

This one starts off with them reading from that book and deciding that they should let the town vote for who they think should be in town council. I think this nerved Taylor as she knows she has her own issues and many of the town members don’t like it.

They (town council) head on over to the chow hall (diner for ya’ll not in the military) and tried telling them. There was already a food fight going on and as ya’ll may recall it is hard to break that up. Anjay got smacked a few times with food when trying to stop it all, he decided to strike back though and that only made things worse. Finally they get everyone’s attention and explain that they are going to let the town, errr district vote for who they want.

Now this means that only green can vote for the green team, etc. So if someone wanted to run against someone it could only be in their color. Someone like Greg could not run against Taylor for instance.

To start it off they stood on a wooden platform above everyone and started giving their speeches. Mike was first up, he was also very confident that no one would run against him. Imagine his shock when he asked if anyone wanted to oppose him and seen a quiet, Guylan’s hand raise.

Anjay was up next and told everyone that he would try doing his best and work harder. Olivia opposed of course, I mean did you ever doubt it.

No one opposed Laurel so we all know she’ll stay on the team, I was shocked that the older green girl didn’t. But as my husband stated, the older ones are letting the younger ones have the fun and I do believe it.

Taylor starts off by calling herself lazy and stating that she’ll do better she promises, etc, etc and Zach opposes. He states things like you have to actually do better, not promise, it’s actions, etc. This boy likes to talk.

Now things get nasty when they start campaigning, Taylor’s friends are making posters etc and the red team is going around destroying them. That is until Greg comes around and finds out these little girls are getting picked on. Let’s just say he’s become fond of them, thinks of them as his little sisters and no one is going to mess with them. Oh, Greg finally wins the Gold Star, I guess it pays off to be the big brother.

The challenge was a fun one, they each get to hit pinatas and decide how to put them in the correct order. Hmm, who knows their history?

I won’t tell ya anymore, if you want to know who actually wins you have to watch the little film below. Don’t worry it’s just the clip of the announcements.
