My Dad is Better Than Your Dad Recap

My Dad is Better Than Your Dad

Last night was the first time I had seen, “My Dad is Better Than Your Dad,” and I was actually impressed and I’m normally against these shows as there seems to be too many these days. But for those that don’t know this show is about 4 teams competing until there is just one left. The teams are made up of a dad and his child, which can be a girl or a boy.

The episode I watched last night had two girls and two boys, one of the teams with a boy ended up having to rush the father to the hospital after the first round, he just wasn’t ready for this. For those that don’t know this is definitely a show for those that are “in shape,” not someone that may have a heart condition or isn’t use to running. A quick replacement team was put into action and they did very well.

The Teams:
Chris and Alexis
Evan and Lauren
Al and Kyle (dad rushed to hospital)
Tim and Noah

Things they did:
Balls in Holes- The kids stood on the top of a (what looked to be) skateboard ramp as the dads ran up it with giant balls and placing them in the holes. They had a certain amount of time to get as many balls in the hole. This is where the first dad collapsed, it was right after the event.

Human Dart Throwing- The kids were put in a contraption so the dads could swing them back and forth. Each child had to place their arrow (plastic foam type) on the target, the one with the higher points stayed.

BBQ Quiz time- The kids were to hit a buzzer when they thought their dad could answer the question correctly. Questions like Star Trek or even cars and motor oil.

Head in tank of Snakes- There are two teams left and each dad must stick his head in a tank of snakes and get a tomato in his mouth. The one with the most tomatoes wins, the wrestling dad walked away the winner and went to the question about his kid.

Kid Question- This should probably be labeled, “Do you Know Your Kid?” as the questions were like, what is your son’s favorite show, etc. He did walk away with a lot of money but he missed one so he didn’t get the $50,000. Course if dad had looked at his kid as the question was being asked by host, Dan Cortese, he would’ve known the right answer as he grinned when asked if his mom was funny.

If you missed this one don’t worry, there’ll be a new episode on March 10th. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
