Samantha Who Recap
In Samantha Who?, Samantha wakes up not knowing anyone, the one person she believes is her best friend, Dena (played by Melissa McCarthy) she later finds out hasn’t been since the 7th grade. Her parents aren’t only annoying but are trying absolutely everything to MAKE her remember. Once Samantha leaves the hospital she sees the type of person she really was and decides she may just want to change, after all she’s been given a second chance. In just the first few minutes her mother is trying to catch her up on her entire life, instead of trying to refresh her memory her mother is shouting at her as if she were deaf. It’s really crazy. Her father of course is just kind of out there, just reminding mom that their daughter can her just can’t remember anything.
Before leaving she must decide if she goes home with her boyfriend, Todd, or her parents. Since she doesn’t remember him she feels more comfortable going home with them, of course that is until she gets there. Later on she realizes that she must be a horrid person as she hears the messages left on his answering machine talking about the “old Sam.”
Once at home she gets a surprised guest….Andrea. Andrea is her true best friend and booze buddy. Together they rule the world, at least the guys at the bar. Of course no hour is too early to go out, and of course she quickly whisks her away.
Alex is her other boyfriend, that’s right she’s cheating on Todd. Andre is also married with a child and an extreme A…….Hmm, extreme butt. When he goes to kiss her in the bar and later finds out she could be “sick” he gets irate and tells her he has a big gig the next day. I’m sorry but that would’ve made me decide that I wanted to stay faithful to Todd. He’s totally into himself.
As far as this series goes, I’m not sure how they will make it into a seaon but I think I’ll at least watch a few and see if the show sticks. As far as tonight goes, Samantha is suppose to return to work. Now that would have to be a bit funny. I mean she doesn’t even remember who she was and now she’s expected to do her old job. Now something like typing would be okay but nothing that would require her to remember things. But she will quickly learn just how much of a workaholic/drinkaholic she use to be. Will she decide to change her old ways or go back to them?
