Top Ten 24 Events to Look Forward to in 2007: #6

by Staff Writer

One thing I’m really excited to find out is how in the world was America able to broker a deal with the Chinese to get Jack back. I’m hoping the story behind it is believable. I usually buy what the 24 writers come up with, and I’m excited to see how they put this together.

Now that we have Wayne Palmer as President, obviously Jack has some help in high positions, but what could the US offer China to get him back?

If you saw the prequel that was on the season 5 DVD, it showed Jack in a Chinese prison camp. After what seemed like a watered down Toyota Rav-4 commercial Jack is faced with giving up the identity of America’s spy inside the Chinese government. Unknowingly Jack gives him up, thinking that he is helping him escape from prison. It’s all very convoluted I know. I personally thought the prequel wasn’t the best thing the 24 writers have come up with, but it gave us a little insight into what Jack was experiencing in China.

My question is was that all they wanted Jack for? Were they just completely willing to give Jack back after they got their information? I just hope it’s believable.

On a side note: check out that crazy Charles Manson-esque beard Jack grew.
